MASSIVE DEMONSTRATION CONDUCTED BY TN CONFEDERATION IN FRONT OF STATE GUEST HOUSE, CHEPAUK

Today (on 27.08.2014) on behalf of the Tamil nadu  State Unit of the  Confederation, we have staged a massive demonstration in front of The State Guest House, Chepauk, Chennai - 5 to press the following demands:-

1) Condemning the high handedness of the Trinamool Congress Govt. for unleashing attacks against union activists; Adhering "West Bengal Solidarity Day" as per the call given by Confederation.

2) protest against the decision of the Central Govt. to raise the FDI cap from 26% to 49 % in Insurance sector and further in Railways, Banking and Defence sectors.

3) to press the Central Govt. on 7th pay commission related demands including , inclusion of GDS in the purview of 7th CPC, demanding merger of DA, grant of IR, Scrapping of New Pension Scheme etc.

A resolution has been drafted on these demands and sent to Hon'ble Prime Minister of India and to the  Cabinet Secretary.

About 300 comrades from various sectors including Postal, RMS, IncomeTax, AG's office, Atomic Energy, Rajaji Bhavan, Shastri Bhavan etc  have taken part. Secretaries and office bearers from various State Units have taken part.

Com.J. Ramamurthy, State Unit President, Confederation, Tamilnadu has presided. Com.M.Duraipandian, General Secretary of the State unit delivered special address and Com. S.Sundaramurthy, Financial Secretary of the State Unit delivered vote of thanks. Com. Elangovan, General Secretary of DREU greeted.
