The Postman is the most familiar face and an important member of the society. When people speak about the Department of Posts what they visualize is the ‘Postman’.

Postmen remained familiar to us for more than a century and remembered for all the good reasons of joy that they bring along; be it the villages, metro cities or even the remotest parts of our county – they make their presence felt, everywhere, every passing day and touch upon the hearts of millions. Postmen carry great responsibilities in delivering letters, parcels, money orders, gifts and now even the banking services door-to-door.

They leave no stone unturned to ensure delivering mail and bring love, joy and affection, in fact, the messenger of all that are part and parcel of the society.

This event of installing the Postman Statue may be the first in India and also in the world. This is a great event in the history of Belagavi city and its beautification. It may also be the great event in the Postal Department’s history to honour the postman staff by installing a Postman statue in recognition of their untiring services rendered.

The Supdt. of Post Offices, Belagavi Division and its staff have decided to recognize the services rendered by the Postman staff all these years and have decided to install a Postman Statue in front of the Head Post Office.

The Department in consultation with the Cantonment Board have decided to name the circle as “POSTMAN CIRCLE” (junction near Head Post office, Amba Bhavan) and the erstwhile Telegraph Road will be renamed as “HEAD POST OFFICE ROAD”.

All the officials and officers of the Department of Posts of Belagavi division have contributed towards the cost of the Postman Statue. Member of Parliament, Belagavi Suresh Angadi, has allotted Rs.5,00,000/- towards the installation of the platform and its beautification to the Cantonment Board. Both the Cantonment Board and the HESCOM authorities have helped the Department of Posts in the beautification of the circle.

The Postman Statue is made of bronze and weighing 350 Kg and has a height of 8 feet and made by noted artist Vinayak Manohar Patil. It took the artist 6 months to make the statue.

The event of installing the Postman Statue is also a step in beautifying Belagavi City. In the later stage, a small garden and lighting will be done around the statue and the circle.

All the members of the public were also invited to grace the function at Belagavi Head Post Office on 13th Jan. 2019 at 1100 hours.

Gazette Notification dated 11/01/2018 : Earned Leave in advance in two installments of five days of every calendar year [DoPT]

In the Central Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 1972,
(A) in rule 28, in sub-rule (1) for clauses (a), (b) and (c), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely:-
“(a) The leave account of every Government servant (other than a military officer) who is serving in a Vacation Department shall be credited with earned leave, in advance’ in two installments of five days each on the first day of January and July of every calendar year.

(b) In respect of any year in which a Government Servant avails a portion of the vacation, he shall be entitled to additional earned leave in such proportion of twenty days, as the number of days of vacation not taken bears to the full vacation, provided the total earned leave credited shall not exceed thirty days in a calendar year.

(c) If, in any year, the Government servant does not avail any vacation, earned leave will be as per Rule 26
instead of clauses (a) and (b).”;

Heartfelt greetings and sincere thanks to all of you for the grand success of nationwide two days strike.

Very good reports received from all units about the percentage of participation of GDS members of AIPEU-GDS.

*PA, POSTMAN,MTS ஆகிய தேர்வுகளுக்கு Syllabus (பாடத்திட்டம்) மற்றும் pattern of examination (தேர்வு முறை) மாற்றப்பட உள்ளது. ஆகவே இந்த ஆண்டு முதல் புதிய பாடத்திட்டத்தின் படியே அனைத்து தேர்வுகளும் நடைபெறும்...*

GDS to MTS,postman, PA தேர்வில் காலியிடங்களை விட தேர்வு எழுதுபவர்கள் குறைவாகவே இருப்பதாலும்,  60,65 மதிப்பெண்கள் எடுத்தவர்கள தேர்ச்சி பெறாமல் போவதும்,அதை விட குறைவான மதிப்பெண்கள் எடுத்தவர்  தேர்ச்சி பெறுவதும் என்பது மெரிட் என்பதே கேள்விக்குறியாவதால் Part A,B,C,Dமதிப்பெண்களை கணக்கில் கொள்ளாமல் மொத்த மதிப்பெண்களை மட்டுமே எடுக்க வேண்டும். 

இந்த இலாகாவுக்காக 150ஆண்டுகளாக ஓடாய் தேய்ந்து உழைத்து வரும் GDS ஊழியர்களுக்கு நேரடி தேர்வுகளில் EX.service man -க்கு தரப்படும் அனைத்து விதமான  தேர்வு சலுகைகள் அனைத்து தேர்விலும் தரப்பட வேண்டும். 

அஞ்சல் துறை சார்ந்த கேள்விகள் part-A பகுதியான   GK -ல் கேட்கப்பட வேண்டும். part-B  ஆங்கிலம் தேர்வு பகுதியில் synonyms, Antonyms பகுதி fill in the blank sentence ஆக தரப்பட வேண்டும் . Part-C கணிதம் 1நிமிடத்தில் விடையளிக்கும் விதத்தில் எளிமையாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.  

இரயில்வே தேர்வு கேள்வித்தாள் தமிழில் தரும்போது PA கேள்வித்தாளும் தமிழில் தரப்பட வேண்டும்.
Postman to LGO தேர்வில் paper-1,paper-2 சேர்த்து ஒரே தேர்வாக 2 மணி நேர கால அளவில் நடத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.கணிதம் 1நிமிடத்தில் விடையளிக்கும் விதத்தில் எளிமையாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.நெட்வொர்க் கிடைக்கும் வேகத்திற்கு computer typying skill test தேவையில்லாத ஒன்று.

தோழர்களே !வணக்கம்.

இன்று  நடைபெறும் வேலை நிறுத்தம் ஊழியர் வர்க்கத்திற்கும், ஆளும் வர்க்கத்தினருக்கான போராட்டம். நமக்கு( GDS)தற்போது வழங்கிய 3 ஆணைகளும்  (Transfer, VRS, Special leave 5 days) இவை திரு  கமலேஷ் சந்திரா ஊதியக்குழு அறிக்கைக்கு எதிரான ஆணைகள் ஆகும்.

 Transfer-பணியிட மாறுதல் நடைமுறை  ஏற்கனவே உள்ளது தான். பணியிட மாறுதல் என்பது மாநிலஅதிகாரத்திலிருந்து   மண்டல அதிகாரமாக மாற்றப்பட்டுள்ளது. அவ்வளவு தான். ஆனால் 14,500 சம்பளம் வாங்குபவர் 14,500 சம்பளம் உள்ள இடத்திற்கு மட்டுமே பணியிட மாறுதல் என்பதும்,12,000 சம்பளம் வாங்குபவர் 12,000சம்பளம் உள்ள இடத்திற்கு மட்டுமே பணியிட மாறுதல் என்பதும்,ABPMக்கு ABPM இடத்திற்கு மட்டுமே பணியிட மாறுதல் என்பதும் இருப்பதையும் பறிக்கும் செயல்.      
     
VRS-விருப்ப ஓய்வு,  புதிதாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட 1,50,000ரூபாய் இல்லையாம்.,பணிபுரிந்த வருடங்களுக்கு ஆண்டுக்கு ரூ.1500வீதம் வேண்டுமானால் தருவார்களாம்.வேறு  கூடுதல் பணப்பலனும் இல்லாமல், வாரிசுக்கு வேலை வழங்க ஊதியக்குழு பரிந்துரைத்தும் அரசு  ஏற்க மறுத்து ஊழியருக்கு எதிராக ஆணை வழங்கி உள்ளது.
            
Spl leave 5 days-   BPM லீவு போட்டால் ABPM அந்த வேலையை சேர்த்து பார்க்க வேண்டும். ABPM லீவு போட்டால் BPM டெலிவரி வேலையையும் சேர்த்து பார்க்க வேண்டும். ஒருவர் வேலையை மற்றுமொருவர் 10 மணி நேரம் வேலை பார்க்க வைத்து அவரது உழைப்பை சுரண்டி நாம் லீவு பெறுவது என்பது தான் தற்போது வந்த ஆணை.  ஊழியர் விரோத ஆணைகளாக மாற்றி ஏற்கனவே  உள்ள முறையே மீண்டும் ஆணைகளாக. வழங்குவதை எதிர்த்து ்தான் இந்த வேலை நிறுத்தம்! இன்று  அல்ல. நாளை நாம் பெறுவதற்கான வேலை நிறுத்தம்.

ஆகவே  அனைத்து ஊழியர்களும் தவறாமல் கலந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமாறு மாநிச்சங்கம் கேட்டுகொள்கிறது. கோட்ட / கிளைச் செயலர்கள் மற்றும் மாநிலச்  சங்க நிர்வாகிகள் தாங்கள் முழு கவணம் செலுத்தி 100% வேலை நிறுத்தம் வெற்றிபெறச் செய்ய வேண்டுமாறு மாநிலச் சங்கம்  கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறது .. மாநிலச்செயலர், தமிழ் மாநிலம் AIPEU GDS TN.
